From Fragile to Forever: The Story of Gus and His Sisters
It started with a message asking for help.
Nadia, someone Kirsten and Judy Sacco had supported before, reached out after finding a sick kitten. Kirsten offered to send a vet, but transportation wasn’t possible. The next day, the kitten passed away.
Then Nadia found four more siblings.
Kirsten contacted Judy, who agreed to take on their care. But before she could reach them, one more kitten died. That left three tiny lives hanging in the balance.

Judy stepped up. The plan was to care for the kittens until they could eat on their own, and then Nadia would take them back. There were vet visits with Dra. Chely, sleepless nights, and lots of patient bottle feeding. Slowly, the kittens grew stronger.
This week, they were finally ready for their next chapter.
Nadia’s neighbor adopted the two girls, and Nadia chose to keep the little boy herself. His name is Gus.

To help the transition go smoothly, Kirsten also provided litter, wet food, and soft food to keep them on a healthy track.
This kind of outcome only happens because so many people show up. Some give their time, others give resources, and some open their homes. Everyone’s effort adds up.
Three kittens. Three homes. And a reminder that small acts of kindness can lead to big happy endings.
